OUR ROOTS
SINCE 1973, A PLACE FOR GAMES, MEETINGS AND MEMORIES.
There are places that are never just places. They are memories, meetings and stories that span generations.
Opened on 5 May 1973, “Salão de Jogos Tiro Taco” became part of life in Ericeira. Over the decades, it has been the setting for countless challenges and sporting rivalries between locals, games of pool, matches played down to the final point, endless conversations and afternoons that so often stretched into the night.
Friendships grew here, moments were shared and memories were created that still live on in those who return.
“I spent my youth here.”
“I hadn’t been back here in so many years.”
“Thank you for keeping the Games Lounge alive.”
“I used to come here when I was a kid. Now I bring my kid with me.”
Time passed and new generations arrived. But the essence remained.
Today, the venue continues to be a place for games, competition, sport, meeting people and spending time together, where different generations share experiences and create new memories.
THE games lounge ISN’T JUST A PLACE YOU COME TO.
IT’S A PLACE YOU COME BACK TO.
OVER FIVE DECADES OF GAMES, GATHERINGS AND COUNTLESS MEMORIES IN ERICEIRA
OUR HOME
ERICEIRA IS PART OF OUR STORY. AND SOME STORIES NEVER FADE.
For more than five decades, “Salão de Jogos Tiro Taco” has been part of Ericeira’s memories. A place for those who live here, those who return and those discovering the town for the first time.
Over the years, different generations have crossed paths here. Locals, friends, families and visitors share the same space, whether around a games table, watching live sport or simply enjoying a conversation that carries on into the night.
It is this mix of people, stories and moments that continues to bring the venue to life and create new memories in Ericeira.
